| The new edition of this interesting book, written by Dr. Joko avli, was published in three languages: English, Slovenian, and Italian. There are plans to issue editions in German, Russian and Spanish. The new book is supplemented by discoveries made during the research, revealing the origin of the Slovenian people and their medieval history. The introductory chapters discuss the national roots of Slovenians, which go back into the period of the ancient Veneti, their pre-historic ancestors. A new chapter presents the Mythology, furthermore, the Monumenta Frisingensia (Briinski spomeniki), the first written documents in Slovenian language... The picture of some chapters, like the Dynasty of Carantania, the Impressionists and the Expressionists, had to be published in colour, as to show their very artistic contents. But it is also an example of artistic presentation of the country - Slovenia, the history and culture of which was not known to the broader public, in particular to people, who do not speak Slovenian.
